An escape room is a physical adventure game in which players solve a series of puzzles and riddles using clues, hints, and strategy to complete the objectives at hand. Players are given a set time limit to unveil the secret plot which is hidden within the rooms. Escape rooms are inspired by "escape-the-room" style video games. Games are set in a variety of fictional locations, such as prison cells, dungeons, and space stations, and usually the various puzzles and riddles themselves follow the theme of the room.

We have taken our knowledge of the best escape rooms to create a unique and satisfying experience with some fun features and twists. At Fakenham Escape Rooms we understand that not everyone wants or needs hints and so we operate two leaderboards; one for teams who are happy to take hints and a separate leaderboard for the persevering pros. Can you knock the current champions off the top spot? Fakenham Escape Rooms is located in the market town of Fakenham in North Norfolk.

verb (used without object), escaped, escaping.
To slip or get away, as from confinement or restraint; gain or regain liberty.

A portion of space within a building or other structure, separated by walls or partitions from other parts.

Disaster Strikes

In Disaster Strikes you will be working on behalf of International Rescue Corps (IRC) to complete the work of the great (if a little absent minded) Professor Nikolia Von Kirby. Professor Kirby was working on ground breaking technology to enable him to predict the time and location of future disasters. Your mission will be to find his missing research articles and coordinate your findings to discover where and when the next disaster will occur.
We chose the theme of the room (International Rescue) because Bryan Kirby, owner of Fakenham Superbowl was part of IRC for 9 years completing 9 missions. He also used to store the equipment for them and it is this old decommissioned kit which has been used in the room to give it a real authentic feel.

We are currently in the process of setting up our online booking.

In the meantime please call or message us and a member of staff will be more than happy to help

Please call us on 01328 856650 to make your booking. We require a non refundable deposit of £20 at the time of the booking with the remainder due on arrival.
Our online booking system will be available soon.

Although the suggested size for our rooms is 4 players we are happy to take bookings for 2 experienced players.

We recommend a maximum of 6 players at once. Please call us for more information.

While there is no restriction on age, the puzzles may be too demanding for those under 12, so they may not fully enjoy the game. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Don't panic! You are not physically "locked" in a room and there is a button which you can press next to the door to let you out at anytime. We have had people with claustrophobia complete our room and comment that whilst they were in there they felt fine. Disaster strikes has a small section which we would not recommend for people with claustrophobia but only one person from the team will need to complete this section.
You are welcome to bring extra people to join your game as long as the total number of players does not exceed 6 people.
Sorry but our rooms are not suitable for wheelchair users.
No photos or videos are allowed to be taken inside our rooms. Please also do not reveal any of the tricks, puzzles or solutions to your friends or family or the public as they may wish to play in the future and it will spoil it for them.
We provide secure lockers for valuables to be kept in whilst playing the game.
There is a Panic Button by the door, so you can leave the room any time you want.
If we think you are struggling our games master, who watches your every move, will offer you hints through the built in screen.
However unlike other escape rooms you can choose to ignore the hint or accept it by pressing the big red hint button.

We operate three leaderboards; one for teams who have taken lots of hints, one for teams who taken a few hints and one for the stubborn pros.

We can offer great packages for corporate teams to take advantage of our escape rooms, bowling and fully licenced bar (maybe not Megafun). Please contact us for more information.
Yes. We have ample free parking in our own private car park.
